What it involves:

The Nelson Centre of Service Excellence provides employers and employees with access to high quality training to meet current and future needs. Nelson is piloting this national scheme to raise standards of delivery across customer service related industries. The primary goal of the Nelson Centre of Service Excellence is to ‘create excellent service, making a difference to the customer experience'.

The concept involves actively recognising businesses that provide outstanding service, upskilling employees in service-related roles and promoting Nelson, as a service centre to its hinterland and as a hub for New Zealand and overseas visitors, as a centre that offers excellent service.

Recognising Great Customer Service

The Nelson Centre of Service Excellence has come up with an initiative to recognise great customer service. Officials representing The Nelson Centre of Service Excellence will be awarding "Great Service Cards" to people working in the service industries who demonstrate great customer service. This initiative is intended to give good press to all of the exceptional customer service that goes unnoticed.
