Key Accounts Support Officer
Retail Institute is the Industry Training Organisation for the retail and distribution industries.
We are looking for an administrator who will provide support to the Key Account team.
The Key Accounts team is the ‘face' of the Retail Institute for nationwide retailers and is responsible for:
- encouraging the take up of training in the industry
- providing advice and support in the training process
- promoting and managing contracts with major retailers
- making and maintaining relationships with key executives
They are constantly visiting employers and need a lot of support in organising the supply of training materials, planning their calls and maintaining contact with, and data on, their customers, etc. To ensure this team is effective we need someone who is calm in their dealings with people, attentive to detail in data management, record keeping and information provision and capable of multi-tasking in a sometimes pressured environment.
Our ideal new team member will have the following attributes:
Skills & Knowledge:
- time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks
- capable of communicating professionally both verbally and in writing
- experience with database systems (including query and report writing skills)
- sound decision-making skills
- good problem-solving skills
- advanced computer skills (primarily in the Microsoft Office Suite and general computer troubleshooting)
- business writing skills
- event planning and management
- establish and maintain relationships

- initiative
- able to multitask and work well under pressure
- able to work well in a team environment
- enjoys constant change - no two days will be the same!
- friendly and approachable
- discreet and diplomatic when dealing with confidential issues

This is an exciting role with a great team of people in Auckland and throughout New Zealand. The ideal candidate will have the maturity gained from a range of experiences in significant administrative roles and be able to provide guidance to our Key Accounts Team to ensure we maintain a customer focused, efficient and effective working environment. We will provide training as required.

Resource Development Team Leader
We are looking for an experienced team leader with proven leadership skills to work on writing projects while leading an efficient, productive and coordinated Resource Development team.
This position requires a learning and development background with an understanding of instructional design principles. Experience in writing adult learning resources for blended and distance delivery is expected.
