Top Shop 2008 Retail Modern Apprentice of the Year

This year the Retail Institute (formerly known as Retail ITO) has introduced a new category at the Top Shop Awards - RETAIL MODERN APPRENTICE OF THE YEAR.

 This award recognises the retail apprenticeship scheme and the hard work apprentices have put in to get where they are today.

There will be regional winners at each of the Top Shop events. At the last event, at the Waikato Top Shop, the Retail Modern Apprentice of the Year will be announced.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

Any current Retail Modern Apprentices or any Retail Modern Apprentice who has completed their apprenticeship in the last 12 months prior to the event (between October 2007 and October 2008).

THE PROCESS

To be nominated for the award apprentice employers need to nominate their apprentice on the form and send it in to Retail Institute. The nominees will be reviewed and mystery shopped. The best nominees will be interviewed to determine the finalists. The finalists will be notified of their achievements and invited their regional event.

The Retail Institute is excited about this new category the award ceremony and wish all apprentices the of luck with their apprenticeship.

THE PRIZE:

The regional winners will win the opportunity to complete the National Certificate Level 4, the retail management certificate. The Retail Modern Apprentice of the Year will win an Outward Bound learning experience.
