Retail Jewellery
Retail Institute has recognised the speciality skills and knowledge needed to work in the jewellery retail industry.
By the end of the Retail Jewellery training programme, trainees will be able to explain the properties, characteristics and use of metals and gemstones. They will also be comfortable with introducing add-ons to customers and be able to clean jewellery. Jewellery retailers will be familiar with repair and service procedures, security procedures and the terms and conditions of warranties and guarantees.
This resource is designed for anyone who has been working in a jewellery store for approximately one year and wants to develop their knowledge.

- recommending products
- repairs and services
- warranties and guarantees
- stock protection.
